Full Blue Moon in Aquarius July 31, 2015

On July 31st, we have the third Full Moon in the month of July – something so rare, it is called a Blue Moon; hence the expressions “Once in a Blue Moon” or “Only during a Blue Moon”.

The meaning of a Full Moon centers around the concept of completion. The tree is ripe and ready to bear fruit, we are on at the last chapter, a finale is upon us. The stage is being set in some way for the New Moon in Leo on August 14th.

Aquarius is an Air sign, known for detachment. Aquarius operates uniquely, often many steps ahead of the rest; they don’t have time to get hung up on meaningless details. Uranus is the sign’s co-ruler, so it’s no wonder why people associate Aquarius with rebels and rebellion. But Aquarius is a wonderful humanitarian sign, doing a lot of good for many.

So what does this all mean? In many people’s lives, something has definitely run it’s course. I feel that since this is happening in the sign of Aquarius, it is going to affect people on a massive scale, or have to do with a project or idea that many people have invested their time or energy in. Maybe the time has come to stop detaching, and instead we need to learn to attach (or perhaps vice versa). Venus is in retrograde after all, and a lot of people have been taking a step back and reviewing their relationships. Again, since Uranus is the co-ruler of Aquarius, something completely unexpected my pop up, and end just as quickly.

I find it somewhat ironic that when I turned on the news this morning, they were talking about finding new debris from the missing Boeing 777, Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 that disappeared somewhere in the Indian Ocean. Some feel that airplanes and advanced technology fall under the sign of Aquarius, and with Uranus Rx, and the Full Moon in Aquarius, a part of me wonders if we will find out more about the plane’s mysterious disappearance?

Full Moons often bring about endings in order for you to plant fresh seeds at the following New Moon, so keep this mind if you are faced with a heavy decision to make, or you feel that a door has been unfairly closed in your face.

Full Moon in Capricorn July 1, 2015

There will be a Full Moon in the sign of Capricorn on the evening of July 1, 2015. Capricorn Moons can be restrictive, calculative, practical, depressive.  A Full Moon is representative of a culmination or ending.

This Full Moon will be very close to Pluto, which is already transiting in Capricorn, and will oppose the Sun and Mars traveling currently in Cancer.  What this may indicate, especially with Pluto in Capricorn, is a promise of a deeply emotional and darkly depressing situation.  Moon-Pluto connections always signify depth of feeling, in Capricorn it may show us a sobering reality, or a deep crevice we weren’t aware existed. With the Sun and Mars opposing all of this in Cancer, this points to a tug-of-war between our practical, rational side (Capricorn) and our emotional side (Cancer). Think of the signs and the polarity; Cancer (home, mother, feeling) Capricorn (work, father, logic).

To see how this may specifically effect you, take a look at your chart and locate the houses where Cancer and Capricorn sit, respectively.

Full Moon in Scorpio May 3, 2015

The significance of Full Moons is that of finality. Endings, completion, resolutions, closure.  New Moons are about beginnings and fresh starts; Full Moons are the opposite.

Where does the sign of Scorpio fall in your chart? Do you have any planets in Scorpio around 13 degrees? This may affect you more directly.

The Full Moon happening in Scorpio is an interesting one.  The sign of Scorpio itself is about rebirth and regeneration; reflect on the great Phoenix rising from the ashes.  Where there is death, there is life.  When one door closes, another opens.  To make it easier, think of what the sign of Scorpio represents (sex, death, taxes, taboo subjects, the occult) its energy, and apply it to the transforming power of a Full Moon. Is there something in your life that you may need to figuratively (or literally) finish the chapter on? Is something past its expiration date?

And you know, it’s not all doom and gloom…a lot of people do not like the intensity of Scorpio energy. It’s powerful, yes, but it’s transformative power.  It’s potency can be used for good or for ill; it’s completely up to you with what you choose to do with it. The Universe just wants you to be happy after all, and sometimes the best medicine initially tastes the worst.
